Walmarts New Drone Delivery Service

Walmarts in the Tampa Bay Area are Now Offering a New Drone Delivery Service. 

Sick at home and want some soup and medicine? Looking for a last-minute gift idea? Need groceries quick for your holiday dinner? Some Tampa residents won't have to leave their comfy beds and change out of their cozy pajamas to make a Walmart run. Walmart announced a new drone delivery service back in May. Starting now, if you are within 1 mile of the 5 participating Walmarts stated below, you are eligible to get a drone delivery of the 100,000 items that are approved. The items are stated to arrive within 30 minutes of your order as long as it's made between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.

The Walmarts that are participating in drone delivery include:

• 2140 Bloomingdale Ave.
• 19910 Bruce B. Downs
• 8745 SR-54 New Port Richey
• 7450 Cypress Gardens Blvd.
• 1208 E. Brandon Blvd

Just like DoorDash and Uber Eats, there is a delivery fee. The fee is $3.99, and you can order anything totaling less than 10 pounds. So, when you're enjoying the sunny Tampa Bay skies, don't be surprised when you see a drone flying around with a bag of bread!
