Ocala National Park: 360,000 acres of hiking heaven! This park has a 1,300 mile Florida National Scenic Trail. Here you'll see hills, ponds, pine forests and boardwalks through cypress and swamps. A hiker's paradise!

Withlacoochee State Forest: Located in western central Florida, this park offers hiking, camping, biking, horseback riding, and seasonal fishing and hunting. There are also tons of caves to explore! If you're feeling adventurous this is the place to visit. 

Paynes Prairie Preserve State Park: This park makes for a wonderful day trip! This is Florida's first state park and should not be missed. Here you can catch glimpses of bison, alligators and wild horses. 

Little Talbot Island: Offering breathtaking beaches, this island also has a trail where visitors hike through five different ecosystems and see a variety of wildlife. This is a hot spot for fishing, surfing and kayaking. There are also pavillions where you can have a romantic sunset picnic. 

Big Shoals State Park: This terrific hiking spot is about a mile east of White Springs, FL and is home to the largest whitewater rapids in Florida! At the right time, visitors can kayak down the Suwanee in class III whitewater rapids. 

Big Cypress National Preserve: Hiking here is unique! The trails here are underwater so be prepared to wade! Watch out for gators.
