Florida's Office of Economic and Demographic Research released data on the number of people moving to Florida
Despite precautions due to the pandemic, the number of people moving to Florida for the past year is continuing to rise. The office reports that from April 1, 2019 to April 1, 2020, 387,479 people moved to the Sunshine State.
This number is higher than experts predicted back in July, and the number is predicted to continue to rise. While Florida State leaders believe the number of people moving will slow down due to COVID-19, they do not believe the numbers will stop.
Over the next five years, the state expects to add an average of 303,264 per year which equates to 831 new residents every day.
