There's Something for Everyone at This Year's RiverFest

Happening May 6th and 7th, This RiverFest Will Offer Exciting New Events and Old Favorites

Riverfest will return to Tampa after a two-year hiatus on May 6th and 7th. Spanning the entire 2.6 stretch of the Riverwalk, Riverfest highlights the food, music, and institutions that make the Bay unique.

Friday will kick off the festivities with live music, a plethora of food trucks serving desserts and sweet treats, and a tent offering beer from local breweries. The Taste of the Riverwalk event, a ticketed event being held at Curtis Hixon Park will take you on a tasting tour of Tampa, with Tampa eateries offering samples of some of your hometown favorites. As the night progresses, a hot air balloon show will light up the sky as the headlining act takes the stage.

The next day begins with a paddleboard race at Urban Kai Shop at Armature Works and a Weiner Dog Derby.  Dachshunds will be pitted against each other in a race, Best Kisser competition, Costume Contest, and much more! For guests who are looking to unwind from the high-stakes racing, Water Works Park will be hosting a free session of Yoga in the Park with The Calm Collective. Riverfest will also be holding a taco festival Saturday afternoon where guests can enjoy taqueria classics like birria, carne asada, and al pastor. The activities culminate in a hot air balloon glow at Curtis Hixon Park, and an all-new Lantern Parade at Water Works Park, where participants can bring their own decorated lanterns to join in the parade.

This family event will be hosted by the non-profit Friends of the Riverwalk, and offers something for everyone. For a complete schedule of events, access the official Friends of The Riverwalk website.
