Tampa's Annual SPCA Pet Walk this April
Come support Tampa's local animal shelter at the Annual Pet Walk this April!
Tampa's SPCA (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) is holding their annual Pet Walk fundraiser on April 2, 2022 in St. Petersburg. SPCA Tampa Bay is the only non-profit animal welfare agency that runs an open-admission, "for-all" animal shelter, and vet center in Pinellas County. "For-all" shelters provide assistance to any animal regardless of their health, age, breed, etc. This organization provides essential help to animals in need in the Tampa area. The Pet Walk is SPCA's largest fundraiser of the year and participants donations go a long way to help our four-legged friends! Last year, despite the global pandemic, SPCA Tampa Bay raised over $115,000 at the Pet Walk! SPCA's goal is to surpass last years funds.
The walk will take place at North Straub Park in St. Petersburg from 8:30am-12pm. The fundraiser will kick-off with Pet Registration and T-shirt pick up at 8:30am. All participants that raise/donate $25 will be given a t-shirt. Welcome announcements and opening ceremony will be 8:45am. At 9:00am is the Pet Costume Contest (so bring your furry friend in a costume!). The walk starts at 10am from Bayshore Dr. to Demens Landing Park. Closing remarks will take place at 11:30am.
The donations from this event will help hundreds of animals in shelter to receive the care they need while waiting for their furrever home. The cost of care for one day at the shelter for an animal is typically $25. Each donation counts and will help a furry friend in need! You can register for the walk or donate to Tampa SPCA here.
