St. Pete Houses The Largest Retro Video Game Store In The US
Gamers young and old can enjoy their favorite video games at M&M Video Games Arcade
M&M Video Games has combined their two St. Pete shops to create a massive 80,000 sqft superstore. The warehouse is located at 3110 44th Ave N and owned by local residents. The store is suited for gamers young and old and features a variety of video game titles to purchase and play.
Gregg Lonkey and Patrick Kearsley are owners of the 3 locations and have been lifelong friends. They opened the original M&M Video Games 6 years ago in Largo, FL. They now have locations in Clearwater and St. Petersburg as well. They started operation in a much smaller space and as their company's popularity grew, so did their need for space.
The superstore is described as somewhat of an arena for gamers of all experience levels. They offer free play on retro and modern systems, as well as tournaments for local residents. They offer many different consoles, such as Super Nintendo, Xbox, PS2, N64, and more.
Gamers can enjoy an entire day of free play for just $5. They also offer tournaments called Saturday Night Slams that are hosted on select Saturday nights from 7-10 pm. Vintage racing, fighting, and addictive adventure platformers are also available to play.
M&M Video Games also offer in-house repairs for all types of electronics, such as old systems and stereos or even light-up Christmas sweaters. Local residents can also bring in their old video games to sell or trade for new ones.
