Reinvented Entertainment Venue Coming To Wesley Chapel

The old Cobb Theater in Wesley Chapel is getting a makeover to become the "movie theater of the future."

Developer Mike Gold of Mishorim Gold Properties is investing millions to transform what was once a Cobb Theater and Cinebistro into what he describes as "the movie theater of the future."

The renovations include adding an outdoor miniature golf course, spin bikes in front of a movie screen, a supervised kids' playroom, a sushi bar and high-end restaurant, and a full arcade. Gold also has plans to turn the Grove into the community's downtown, similar to Sparkman Wharf in Channelside. These plans include a container park featuring restaurants, shops, and a water park.

The new Cinema & Entertainment Complex will include high-tech sanitation technology like fogging machines and automated thermal temperature scan swing gates at the entrance.

"When you step foot inside the complex, you will be able to enjoy everything we have to offer without worrying about your safety," Gold said. "It will be much safer than going to the grocery store."

Once renovations are completed in the fall, Gold said it will be transformed into a major shopping, entertainment, and culinary destination in Pasco County.
