New Exhibit Coming To Clearwater Aquarium

New whale exhibit debuts at Clearwater Marine Aquarium with a VR diving experience

The Clearwater Marine Aquarium has debuted a brand new 20,000 square foot exhibit entitled Whales: Living with Giants, and it is sure to amaze aquarium visitors of all ages!

The exhibit is intended to educate visitors on the world of whales through the use of multi-media exhibits, a walk through life-size whale gallery, areas intended for children, and an insanely cool virtual reality experience!

For the VR experience, Clearwater Marine Aquarium is partnering with award-winning virtual reality entertainment group Immotion to bring a fully-immersive VR theatre complete with state-of-the-art motion-platform seating technology.

The VR experience will immerse viewers in the deep sea as marine biologists as they "swim" alongside whales and other marine life! Luckily, the VR experience is not an upcharge and admission is included with all tickets to the aquarium.

Here’s the current safety protocols at the aquarium:

• Limited capacity to encourage social distancing
• Touchless transactions
• Advanced reservations where guests may select an arrival date and time and purchase admission online prior to visiting
• Signs and floor decals to promote social distancing
• Barriers at transaction areas
• All CMA personnel are wearing face masks
• Daily temperature checks for all CMA personnel
• Temperature checks for all guests entering CMA at Ticketing
• Masks are required for guestts 5 and up
