Mother's Day at Bok Tower Gardens

Mothers Have Free Admission At Bok Towers to Celebrate Mother's Day

Treat the mom, aunt, or grandma in your life to a day surrounded by sprawling gardens almost as beautiful as her. The Bok Tower Gardens located in Polk County is one of the most picturesque sections of nature Florida has to offer. Mothers receive free admission to the park on their special day, so it is the perfect time to soak in the splendor with your loved ones.

Bok Tower Gardens spans 250 acres filled with luscious grass, flowers, and landscaping and is home to many species of birds that take refuge amongst the trees. The garden grounds were designed by the esteemed American landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted Jr., son of the legendary Frederick Olmstead who pioneered landscape architecture as we know it and designed Central Park in New York. The tower grounds are home to many species of native and exotic plant life that provide a gorgeous, shaded canopy to keep the park temperate. The prominent singing carillon tower is the signature building of the park, adapted from traditional gothic style architecture into a unique display of Florida’s ecosphere by Milton B Medary.

In addition to the stunning surroundings, there are many charming shops where trinkets, books, and other memorabilia can be found. The on-site Blue Palmetto café serves wonderful soups, sandwiches, salads, and lunch features from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and offers both indoor and outdoor seating.

May 8th will be here before you know it! So make sure to add Bok Tower Gardens to your Mother’s Day to-do list.
