Michelin Recognizes Tampa Restaurants, Awards Three Bib Gourmands
With The Results In, Which Tampa Restaurants Were Mentioned?
The results are in, and while none of our local Tampa Bay restaurants received Michelin stars, there were three Tampa eateries that were recognized by Michelin with a Bib Gourmand award as well as several notable mentions of local bites. The Bib Gourmand is an honor that commemorates a restaurant providing a high-quality dining experience for a reasonable price, a helpful tool for travelers and locals alike. Among the Bib Gourmand winners were Roca in Tampa Heights, Ichicoro in Seminole Heights, and Rooster and the Till, also in Seminole Heights.
Rocca is a swanky Italian restaurant that highlights fresh seasonal ingredients alongside stunning views of the Tampa skyline. With delicious handmade pasta, a huge wine list, a caviar service, and mozzarella made fresh tableside, Rocca provides an elevated experience for Tampa diners.
Ichicoro on the other hand offers a modern twist on ramen, in a scenic offering of tasty noodles, rice bowls, and snacks including house-made chicharrones. The guide recommends the rich pork and chicken broth in the Tonkotsu and Shoyu bowls, respectively.
Lastly, but certainly not least, Rooster and the Till offers more innovative internationally inspired fare like fried Cobia collar, Thai tea caramel, and falafel-spiced dukkah.
Additionally, Michelin recommended several local restaurants for travelers including Yummy House, Steelbach, Oak and Ola, Ulele, Columbia, Cena, Mise En Place, Koya, Olivia, Timpano, On Swann, Haven, Elevage, Restaurant BT, Bistro BT, and Bern’s Steak House.
