Krate Opens In Wesley Chapel

A Shopping Plaza Made of Recycled Shipping Containers Offers New Shopping, Dining, and Entertainment Options To Pasco County

Saturday, June 4th, marked the opening of Krate, a new kind of market experience at The Grove that took 90 recycled shipping containers, and transformed them into almost 50 stylish new restaurants and storefronts. Each concept that takes up a container is a locally owned small business, each with a unique premise.

Innovative and exciting new restaurants such as The Fryroom, The Bacon Boss HQ, Ato Sushi, and Palani’s Hawai’i Noodles bring tasty eats to the open-air shopping center. The market’s 17 retail shops include We Rock Rocks, The Toy Jungle, Katie Beth’s Boutique, and Tonella’s Handpicked Flower Shop, allowing guests to peruse a diverse offering of different storefronts.

In addition to restaurants and shopping, Krate also will serve as a venue for live events and entertainment. Local artists, bands, and performers will be taking center stage as people shop, eat, and hang out at the market. A play area for kids called the Krateground will also be on the premises

The new market will also host a variety of events. Every second Saturday of the month, Krate will be hosting an Art of The Krate block party event which features art installations and an art market. Krate has numerous other events throughout this year, such as Chapel Chop, a barbecue and beer fest in July, a Halloween celebration, and a monthly Date Night starting in November.
