Boats, Lights, And A Festive Parade On The River Usher In The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year
If you are looking for a night of fun to share with family & friends, look no further! On December 17th, Downtown Tampa Bay Tampa's Lighted Holiday Boat Parade will take place at 6:30 PM alongside the Hillsborough River in Downtown Tampa. The Parade will start at the Convention Center basin and continue to the Heights, ending at the Sparkman Wharf.
After the parade, judges consisting of pairs from Big Brothers & Big Sisters will give out a trophy to the best boats of the night. Watching the parade is FREE, but participating in the boat parade costs $50 a vessel with the deadline to register to be December 11th. Prior to the start of the parade, you can also enjoy the other festivities in Tampa's Winter Village at Curtis Hixon Park which officially opens on November 20th. The scenic village features a skating rink, where you can buy individual tickets or group-rated tickets. The Winter village will also consist of local merchants, so you can purchase handmade holiday gifts.
