Curtis Hixon Park Hosts Largest Costumed Bike Ride in the World

The Biggest Costumed Bike Ride in the World Returns to Tampa for the Holidays

The 11th Annual Winter Wonder Ride is set for December 10 at Curtis Hixon Park. The event is presented by Onbikes and will include a post-ride concert in the park.

Y’all feeling festive yet in Tampa? Our bike-friendly city is gearing up to host the 11th annual Winter Wonder Ride at beautiful Curtis Hixon Park in downtown Tampa. Onbikes is on a mission to give bicycles and helmets to at-risk kids in Tampa Bay this holiday season.

The Winter Wonder Ride is a good time for a good cause. This event doubles as a celebration and a fundraiser. Participants will enjoy a seven-mile scenic ride through downtown Tampa and alongside Bayshore Boulevard before returning to Curtis Hixon Park for the Winter Wonder Ride Post-Ride Concert.

This year features headlining country music sensation LOCASH and special emcee Pat Maroon of the Tampa Bay Lightning.

LoCash, formerly known as LoCash Cowboys, will be headlining the 11th Annual Winter Wonder Ride! What can you expect from this wild group? “Creating a signature sound that fuses modern Country and classic Heartland Rock with an edgy vocal blend, the Country music duo of singer-songwriters is widely known for mixing backwoods pride with big-picture positivity,” note event organizers in a release.

Patrick Maroon is a left winger for the Tampa Bay Lightning of the National Hockey League. Nicknamed the “Big Rig”, Maroon is lending his big energy and his big voice to the Onbikes cause as the master of ceremonies for the Post-Ride Concert.

We are all about themes here in the city of Tampa. Keeping in the tradition of rotating the costume theme each year, Onbikes revealed that this year’s theme would be a Ho Ho Hoedown. A country Western holiday encouraging attendees to mix and match country Western with holiday apparel for this year’s ride and celebration. Get your spurs and 10-gallon hats ready, folks.

“This is one of the biggest costumed bike rides in the world. Seeing thousands of people dressed up in holiday gear riding down the street is something no one will want to miss! And to know it is all for a good cause is just incredible!” said Anne Gold, Executive Director for Onbikes, in a press release.
