Connerton Downtown Rezoning Approved By Pasco Commission

Connerton is finally going to get a downtown of its own

Pasco County reached a big accomplishment this week when the Pasco County Commissioners approved the land use change that will finally allow them to build a Connerton downtown.

The land use has been officially changed from agricultural to master plan for more than 1,000 acres. This land will include the long-awaited Connerton Villages 3 and 4 as well as a community downtown of a minimum of 40 acres. The development plan includes 2,160 residential units that will include single-family homes and attached single-family homes.

The downtown area will allow for 150,000 square feet of retail, 150,000 square feet of office, a new charter school, and an 80-acre district park. The plans will also include a library, fire station, civic park, and pathways and trails.
