Adventure Islands in Tampa Opening Two New Slides

New Attractions Coming Spring 2022

Excited about new developments at Tampa attractions? You should be! It seems great minds think alike - just in time for Busch Gardens to open their new take on Gwazi, neighboring water park Adventure Islands plans to open two all new water slides next Spring!

The first of the pair is the all new Rapids RacerI, which pits riders against each other on a racing style slide. The 600+ foot long slide is designed to spit riders out into a "dueling saucer" where opponents can try to knock into each other.

The second update is a facelift to popular slide Wahoo Run, which adds synchronized lights & sounds! No more dark tunnels - the interior of the slide has been lit up to simulate the "ultimate party experience!"

Still not satisfied? Situated right between the two new slides is an all-new tiki bar "Hang Ten" which features beers from local breweries, specialized cocktails, and plenty of rums!
