Tampa hosts the annual 4th of July Boat Parade, water ski show, and fireworks again for 2023

Tampa gears up for an extravagant celebration on the 4th of July, featuring a spectacular Boat Parade, a mesmerizing water ski show, and an awe-inspiring fireworks display. The countdown to this grand riverfront event has begun, and boats can now be registered for participation. VIP parade tickets are also available for purchase, and updates can be found on the Tampa Riverwalk's official website.

Organized by Friends of the Tampa Riverwalk, the 3rd Annual July 4th Boat Parade and Blessing of the Fleet will grace the Riverwalk. The parade route will follow a similar path to the holiday light boat parade, but this time it will incorporate a poker run and a special blessing station. The Blessing of the Fleet is a cherished tradition that originated many years ago and is still observed in numerous fishing and boating communities worldwide, symbolizing safety and abundance for the upcoming season.

Expect a dazzling display of boats adorned in patriotic red, white, and blue, as they compete for the prestigious title of the most patriotic boat. Registered participants will partake in a thrilling Poker Run, with the chance to win a grand prize and several other exciting rewards. Following the boat parade, a mesmerizing fireworks show will light up the sky at Sparkman Wharf. Festivities will extend to Tampa Heights, with numerous activations taking place along the Riverwalk. There will be a multitude of 4th of July events happening throughout the Tampa Riverwalk area.

While details for the Boom on the Bay event have yet to be released, it traditionally offers miles and miles of stunning fireworks. The celebration typically encompasses live music, engaging activities for children, food trucks, interactive shows, and much more.

Sparkman Wharf will also host its 5th annual Star Spangled Sparkman event, a beloved community gathering that provides entertainment for all ages. Guests will have the privilege of enjoying a breathtaking waterfront view while witnessing the magnificent fireworks display, making it one of Tampa Bay's prime viewing spots.

The festivities will commence at 4pm on Tuesday, July 4th. Family-friendly activities will include captivating live performances, a game zone on the wharf, roaming entertainment, enticing food and beverage specials, and more. Attendees will be treated to optimal viewing of the traditional Blessing of the Fleet, followed by the Boat Parade and Water Ski Show presented by Friends of the Tampa Riverwalk. The evening will culminate with a mesmerizing firework extravaganza. This event is free and open to the public, but please note that Sparkman Wharf will be limiting capacity, so arriving early is strongly encouraged. The venue is located at 615 Channelside Drive.
